Hello, my name is Yana and I am a provenance researcher.
I look for things lost.
Bio
I have been doing freelance research for over 10 years for various clients all over the world.
Primarily, I work for the heirs of Nazi persecution and their decedents, a few lawyers and a major auction house.
Since 2019 I’ve been also involved in different projects funded by the German Lost Art Foundation (Deutsches Zentrum Kulturgutverluste) like both Abraham Adelsberger research projects.
I studied art history, archeology and business management at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (B.A.) and did my master’s degree (M.A.) at Freie Universität in Berlin, specializing in provenance research.
You can find my latest work in the BBC Radio 4 History podcast “The House at Number 48”.
